10X Life - Wisdom Works!

In the book of Daniel, we are told of the specific children who were captured by the King of Babylon.  Yes!  You remember Daniel and his three friends, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, right?  I mean, how - HOW - could you NOT have heard of them?  These boys were special.  They were different from the many others in that they were skillful in all wisdom and cunning in knowledge and understanding (Daniel 1).  

The King saw their intellect and ability but what he did not know or understand is ---- this type of wisdom, understanding, and knowledge was given to them by God and not man (Daniel 1:17).  However, he quickly found out.  You see, they were very young when the "adults" among them were making back choices, disobeying God's instruction, and simply, challenging his authority, God said they would be taken into captivity for 70 years --- and that's how Daniel and his friends ended up in Babylon.

The King wanted to acclimate them to the culture, first by feeding them the "food of the day" or in other words, what everybody else ate!   Needless to say, Daniel, being the wisest of the group, was favored so he asked that they be fed certain vegetables (for 10 days) instead of what was on the King's menu.  What a wise decision!  Be careful what you take away from someone else's table.  Perhaps what they eat is NOT for you.

After 10 days of eating what he asked for, the children of Israel were stronger and even healthier than all who had partaken of the King's food.  Yes.  They were 10 times (10X) better!  And from there, they gained the favor of leaders around them until they soon became the leaders, given great responsibility and oversight... in a land of "captivity" because even there, God caused them to prosper!

WISDOM IS THE PRINCIPAL THING.

 Before making decisions, seek God.  Get wisdom.  It is the divine counsel and direction of God.  Unfortunately, many will have to be "redirected" (if not too late) because they sought God only after making the decision and finding out it was the wrong way to go.

"Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore, get wisdom:  and with all thy getting, get understanding."  Proverbs 4:7 (KJV)

There are many things to learn in this life.  Of them all, wisdom is important.  That is...godly wisdom.  The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom (Proverbs 9:10).  This is the beginning of progress for those who revere God.  And as you live (day-by-day) and ask for wisdom, he will oblige.

So, if you want to 10X your life, be wise.  Think about what you're going to say before you say it.  And when you don't know what to do, ask (GOD) for his wisdom.   To exalt (lift) wisdom in every area of your life, is to gain promotion (advancement).  To receive wisdom is to bring honor into your life. (Proverbs 4:8,9)

How will you know you have it?  How will you know the difference?  My friend, those around you will certainly recognize when wisdom speaks.  Your speech will indicate you have been "adorned" - covered - in wisdom.   It works!
